I haven’t spent much time in downtown Los Angeles since I moved out here, but I recently took a trip to the down there to explore and ended up at historic Olvera Street. Nestled just off the 101 freeway at the edge of a courtyard, you will find Calle Olvera bustling with activity.
The street stretches about a half a mile and is for pedestrians only. Instead, the street is filled with booths selling all sorts of merchandise. From authentic clothing to leather goods, there is so much to look at. There are multiple different restaurants along the path as well as small stands selling different types of snacks.
How cute are these??
I love the fact that it feels like you’ve been transported to a completely different place. This little community nestled into the middle of LA is bustling with music and culture. Visit their website for special events and more information!
