I love having a reason to throw parties. There’s really nothing better than an excuse to craft and bake and spend time with your friends. This particular party, I was even more excited to throw. My cousin gets married in less than a month and I was so excited to be able to throw her bridal shower.
This lucky lady is getting married on a yacht, so what better way to send her off than with a nautical bridal shower!
We decided to brunch it up so of course a bubbly bar and tons of breakfast goodies were in order.
Along with bacon, eggs, and pancake stacks, we also had a berry oatmeal bake, banana’s foster french toast casserole, and a banana cream cheese coffee cake. I’m the kind of person that always makes way too much food. I like to feed people and I’m always afraid that there wont be enough. My family tried very hard to talk me into making less food, but I was convinced that I needed to make all of it. And guess what? Almost everything was gone by the end of the party!
I think my favorite part was the photo booth. Instead of a traditional guest book, I decided to buy a polaroid camera and have people sign next to their pictures with the bride. They came out so cute!
The rest of the day was spent playing games, eating cake and opening gifts. Not a bad way to spend the afternoon!
After months of planning, it was a relief to finally have my nautical bridal shower go off without a hitch. I’m so excited to see her get married soon!!
